Bio: Neil Armstrong was an American astronaut and the first person ever to walk on the surface of the moon, after serving as an aerospace engineer, naval aviator, test pilot and university professor. Armstrong and fellow astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins began their journey in the Apollo 11 space shuttle on 16th July 1969, finally arriving on the lunar surface on 20th July 1969 after a four-day transit through space.
